“Cant Switch Off Light Permanently”

The spotlight cam quality is great. Easy setup and to install. The only complaint is being unable to permanently turn off the light. No matter how I set up the light controller in the program, the light will proceed whenever there is motion through the night. The Motion Zones for Lights distance set to minimum and also the 3 zones set to OFF, nevertheless the light will go ON when there is motion. The light can be turned off by toggling the manual control but it is going to kick on again using another motion detected. The spot light turning on ruins the cozy atmosphere when I have a celebration at the patio. Twist please fix this ASAP! Please provide me an option to turn the light off permanently.

“Highly Recommend! Great Camera. ”

I’ve 4 ring Floodlight cameras in use at another property. I really enjoy them so I had been excited to find the new Spotlight camera inserted to the ring lineup. I tried the ring Stick Up Cam Solar prior to ordering the Spotlight and I ultimately returned due to being spoiled from the better build quality and overall camera quality of this Floodlight Cam. I added photos to demonstrate the field of view comparison between both. While they aren’t installed at the specific same location, you can see exactly how much better the Spotlight Cam appears. As expected, the light output is higher on the Floodlight Cam but the Spotlight Cam does a fantastic job of lighting up the immediate area around the device. After installing and using my very first Spotlight camera, then I immediately purchased a second and set up it when it arrived in. Both have been operating as anticipated. The camera video quality is great, the field of view is wonderful. I have influenced a minumum of one friend to buy a wired Spotlight Cam and he is equally pleased with it. I really do wish that ring could add a little more customization for their iOS app. It would be great to have the ability to set up the cameras in any sequence you want vs left to right according to order of set up. It would also be nice to know whether the movement detector triggered the lights or when the lights continue for extended periods without having to open the app. I found that after losing energy at the same property while not there that the lights remained on after power was restored. I only happened to notice that they were on when I had been in the program and had to manually turn them off. HomeKit compatibility could rock too! Anyway, the Spotlight Cam is great! Way to go Ring!

“Great Addition For Your Home Security Package”

I have been exploring the security camera alternatives for quite a while; approximately the last 18 months. But when I recently closed on my new home and property I knew I had to make a choice and get something up and running.I have quite a few safety systems in place now and this Ring Spotlight is merely one of those systems. The installation was extremely simple and I decided on the wired version to alleviate the whole what do I do if the internal battery dies when Im away from home conundrum. I also went with the spotlight version vs Rings Floodlight version due to the size difference and where it’d actually be set up in my home. This specific light replaced an older worn out floodlight that was at the general area of where this Ring now sits. I moved up in my homes loft space and rerouted some wiring out of my soffits down to the new proposed location for this particular item. Mount it, plug in it and Voila, really that simple. After downloading the Ring Program and linking it to my homes wifi network we were in business. Its been up and running for a month now and the movie looks wonderful. I set-up motion detection zones and receive alerts thru the program whenever its own triggered. The LEDs on the side light up a bigger area than I anticipated and the Siren that I can install is startling enough to let any immigrant people in the region know theyre being watched!!! Currently couldnt be more satisfied – really, I really could; Ring requires a paid cloud package service if I want to keep recorded alarms over 7 days….thus my reason for 4 stars. Give me the option of installing my own SD card to record images/video directly to it vs always having to send items to a cloud support – OR better yet – let me record to my own in-home cloud device.
